How to Create Layer from Selection in Photoshop

Open the photo you need in Photoshop.
Right-click on the text layer and choose ‘Select Pixels’ from the list. Click on the eye next to the layer to hide it.
Click on Edit at the top menu. Select Copy Merged from the list. Click on Edit at the top menu. Select Paste from the list. You got a new layer made from selection.
Let’s do it differently. Choose Quick Selection tool from the left side bar. Draw a selection around the object you need. Right-click on the selection and choose Layer via Copy from the list. Easy!
