A Boeing 787 Dreamliner caught fire this morning when parked at the gate at Boston Logan International Airport. The fire started in the midsection of the aircraft and filled the cabin with smoke. Fortunately, no passengers were on board. The aircraft was operated by Japan Air Lines and was scheduled to fly to Tokyo before it went up in flames. The 787 Dreamliner has gone through a series of electrical mishaps just in the last month. A United Airlines flight on December 4th had to make an emergency landing after one of the power generators stopped working. Then, just 13 days later, another 787 United Air Lines-owned aircraft reported electrical issues. This isn't boding well for Boeing on the New York Stock Exchanges. It's stock is trading 2% lower on the day at $75 and change.
