World's Largest Store Opens Today In Dubai
You're watching the Financial News Network, I'm Kimberly Odom on FNNO. Today, Level Shoe District, the world's largest shoe store will open in Dubai Mall. The shoe store is 96 thousand square feet and will carry 15,000 different styles of shoes along with a selection of designer brands. The store will exclusively carry the Louis Vuitton spring collection 6 weeks ahead of any other store in the world. Level is twice the size of the world's largest shoe floors including Macy's in New York and Selfridges in London. The store has four areas: women's designer, women's contemporary, men's and trends and has 40 designer concessions, including Louis Vuitton, Prada and Gucci. Patrick Chalhoub, chief executive officer of Chalhoub Group tells Women's Wear Daily, "This is a place for people who are passionate about shoes, who are addicted to shoes, who are obsessed about shoes". Level's concept store called The Zoo will feature Middle Eastern brands featuring regional talent. That includes a VIP room where dedicated shoe stylists can receive customers who prefer privacy.
