Honda Recalls 572,000 Additional Vehicles
Honda expanded its power steering hose recall from May on Saturday, adding close to 572,000 cars to the pool. Model year 2003 through 2007 Honda Accord V6 vehicles in the US have now been recalled in addition to the 2007-2008 Acura TL's from the May recall.
The problem stems from the power steering hose, which may degrade over time due to high temperatures. This could cause the hose to leak, leading to a loss of power steering, or smoke and fire.
Honda has said that the updated hoses will not be available until 2013, so repairs must be made at Honda dealerships in the interim.
