BGR reported that following news that multiple retailers across North America have begun to offer discounts on Research In Motion's (NASDAQ:RIMM) BlackBerry PlayBook, Best Buy (NYSE:BBY) is now offering the best deal for the device. Many other retailers, including Staples and Office Depot are also offering a sale on the troubled tablet.
However, Best Buy is knocking $200 off of the PlayBook at the point of purchase, as opposed to offering a $100 discount and a $100 gift card like other retailers, including Best Buy Canada.
The 16GB tablet will cost $299.99, the 32GB model will cost $399.99 and the 64GB version will cost $499.99.
A spokesperson for the company confirmed the sale and said it was a limited-time sale running from now through October 8.
Research In Motion has a potential upside of 39.9% based on a current price of $21.16 and an average consensus analyst price target of $29.61.
