Building Superhero Calves
People ask me for my workouts, how many reps should I go heavy or light, full range of motion, time under tension, how many days per week.. my answer.. ALL OF THE ABOVE.
When you train calves, train them every way, every angle, every style, and in some situations every day.
There are bodybuilders who train them daily. A majority of you should be in the 2 to 4 days per week range.
Most of what you see in this video is me having fun with heavier weight for the purpose of creating an Instagram Reel.
In "real life," I take my calf training very seriously, I don't make funny faces, and I'm focused on the goal of totally destroying them.
I am now in a phase where I train them 4 days a week, and each workout has a different style, some days higher reps, some days much heavier weight. I create everything myself but do it in a way to keep a ton of variety in and continue shocking the muscle.
I will add this because there will be some so called "instgram fitness influencers" who havnt accomplished anything in the fitness world that will say everything is genetic or your ROM sucks yet they have 14" calves and still live at home in their moms basement. I have trained longer than most of them have been alive 🤣.
These people are not experts, nor should they be giving mentorship/advice to anyone.
I didn't have huge calves growing up, I did have potential, and the length of my calves very good, but it took me over 2 decades to build them to where they are now.
Will you have calves like mine? Probably not, but can you get better and more respected calves if you work hard and stay patient? Yes.
So go make it happen 💪
