CDSS SPG Handheld Seal Plug Insertion Gun System for TE 114017 (Deutsch size 16) White Seal Plugs
This is a video of new upgraded version of our SPG Handheld Seal Plug Insertion Gun System. This system was built to run the TE 114017 (Deutsch size 16) White Seal plugs, often used in Automotive Wire Harnesses.
The SPG Seal Plug Insertion systems, allow fast semi-automated insertion of seal plugs into connector bodies. A CDSS SPG system will substantially boost the productivity of Wire Processing Technicians, both in terms of speed and accuracy. It will also help prevent your Technicians from developing the repetitive stress injuries often resulting from manual insertion of thousands of seal plugs.
Loose Seal Plugs are poured into the parts bowl and automatically fed to the SPG insertion gun. The Gun features a trigger button for inserts AND a tip safety. The SPG gun will not fire a seal plug if the tip is not depressed, to prevent accidental discharge.
To use the CDSS SPG system, an the operator aligns the tip with the grommet cavity in the connector, presses the tip against the grommet (which engages the tip safety, enabling a plug to be fired), and presses the trigger button to perform an insert. Once the tip is retracted, the SPG system is ready to proceed to another insert.
All CDSS SPG Seal Plug Insertion Gun Systems are custom made for a customer's chosen seal plug -- we often build these systems for our customer's unusual or proprietary parts. The machines feature precision machined anodized aluminum parts bowls, machined anodized aluminum slide escapements and a tool steel shuttle. The SPG gun is machined from Aluminum and anodized, with a machined stainless steel insertion tip. Current model SPG Seal Plug Insertion Gun Systems are fully electronic and feature electronic switches, actuating FESTO Pneumatic valves.
The SPG Seal Plug Insertion Gun Systems are very simple and easy to operate -- most Wire Processing Technicians can be up and running with just a few minutes of training.
