Custom CDSS Machine built to automatically feed Customer's Proprietary Electrical Contact to an ASTRO No. 612141 Pneumatic Crimp Tool.
This customer needed unobstructed access to the ferule of the electrical contact due to their use of heavy cable with VERY short leads and a very small proprietary 24ga electrical contact, features that made use of our standard wire-guide funnels impractical. So, we developed an articulated stopper that would locate the electrical contact for proper crimp position and then more completely out of the way so the operator could use both hands to insert the fine wire into the tiny 24ga ferule. The resulting machine greatly increases operator speed and reduces errors and wasted materials.
