Here is some footage of our SPXY Seal Plug Insertion system in action. The fist portion shows the hand insert method for comparison -- oh so slow comapred to our SPXY! Also note the "Dummy" unwired contacts being inserted and then pressed to depth by a force-feedback linear actuator driven inserter head, and a seal plug being inserted into the same cavity! We're not aware any any other system with this capibility.

Our SPXY system uses bulk (loose piece) seal plugs and Contacts -- the seal plugs do not have to be on tape, in a bandoleer or be individually hand fed or loaded. Loose seal plugs poured into parts bowls are automatically singulated and blow-fed to a powered inserter heads which insert the plugs into nested connectors on trays.

The entire system is computer controlled, and can run an infinite number of user defined insertion patterns. The SPXY machines feature our proprietary custom software designed for your busy manufacturing facility. this software features: tray and badge scanning, operator activity logging, administrator features, detailed log generation, multiple language support, and many other features designed to help you get the most out of your Automation investment. QA is accomplished via an optional camera system which verifies that the correct connectors have been loaded, verifies correct insertion, and also logs pictures of each batch of connectors run.
