The core is often misunderstood and overshadowed by the attraction of the six-pack. It’s a
complex network of muscles that extends beyond the rectus abdominis (Abs). While the pursuit of
a six-pack has its place, understanding the importance of the core is necessary.
The core extends way beyond those chiseled washboard abs. It is a 360-degree multidirectional
muscle group that forms the cornerstone of stability and functional movement throughout our
daily lives. Imagine the core as the anchor, intricately woven throughout the human body. It serves
as the center for stability, allowing us to stand tall and move throughout the world. This muscle
group is a dynamic team, organizing a series of movements that include stability, flexion,
extension, and rotation. It's the silent force behind every step we take, every twist and turn, and
every moment of physical activity.
Core training is often over looking and pushing to the back burner in most traditional workouts.
Sometimes it's only thrown into a routine as a filler or ending exercise which isn't correct. You need
to treat your core like it's it own complete muscle group and it deserves the the same amount
of attention as say Legs or Back Muscles.

Often times it's ignored because it's difficult and can be frustrating. Difficult doesn't mean the
exercise is bad for you. There is a good chance that you're either not doing it right, or your body
is still getting acclimated to the movement itself. Give it time, like everything the more you try
the better you will become at it.
Another common mistake is frequency. One time a week to hit core just isn't going to cut it,
and you won't see the strength and results you're looking for. When you decide to take your core
training seriously you should aim for 3 x a week AT LEAST!
