Hello everyone, it's been another two weeks, and as promised, here's a new glimpse into my artist life over the past weeks.
If you have any suggestions about what you would like to see, let me know.
I hadn't shared anything earlier about the last masterclass of the year 2023. I will be back by the way in 2024,
It was such a delightful group, only female photographers in the photo studio this time. Model Jennifer has been with me for years, and I adore her classic look and professionalism. Not everyone can pose with such patience for so many different photographers, each with their unique way of communicating. Respect.
Let's clarify the difference between masterclasses and workshops nowadays. Lately, I've noticed that some have a greater desire to delve deeper into knowledge, while others find it challenging to keep up or have no interest in frills. So, the portrait workshop is purely about portraits, styling, beautiful lighting, and retouching. The masterclass takes it a step further by adding elements in post-processing, such as animals or an entire landscape. That’s exactly what we did and what i will be showing you
In my home studio, I create my still lifes. I prefer doing this at home. It's a different process than working with models. It's even more in my own bubble, and I find that more comfortable in my familiar surroundings. In this studio, I'm also involved in product development. Test prints, conceptualizing frames, and so on.
Last week, I received new prints. It's always tense - checking if everything is right. Are there no irregularities? Are the colors beautiful? Is this a good size? Will they remain prints, or are they gallery-worthy for a grand presentation? I like to make distinctions and keep some images with me. All sales points are reasonably exclusive, so I can't get confused.
Now that these works are completed, the images can be presented to the public. Time for new inspiration. I'm moving on to a new idea. I can see the images in my head. I want to create this now. It's important to show an example of my sketch and the final image of "Orange Juicy."
This week also brought a small downside for a photographer – not a disaster, but certainly challenging. My hands are starting to protest against my activities. The process has just begun, and I can't say much about the progress yet. Still too new. More on that next time.
