Allow for the simultaneous and individual scaling of objects/elements in Blender by changing a single option. Details below...

With multiple objects selected in Object mode, or multiple elements selected in Edit mode, scaling, by default, occurs about the averaged origin of said elements.

Changing the Pivot Point from Median Point to Individual Origins makes Blender scale about the origin of each of those elements.
