Adobe Photoshop CC 2024: Create Patterns in Library Panel
This tutorial will show you how generate patterns from any layer or graphic in Adobe Photoshop CC 2024 using the Adobe CC Library Panel.
Note: If you click the Library + Icon and are unable to ‘Extract From Image’ when selecting a layer, convert the layer to a ’Smart Object’ and try again.

How To Generate Patterns in Adobe Photoshop CC 2024:
1. Create a new Document the size you want the pattern
2. Add a graphic to the document such as a PNG or Vector File
3. Select Layer
4. Go to Library Panel (Window….Library)
5. Create a New Library or open existing library to save patterns
6. Click on the Plus Icon (+) at the bottom of the Library Panel
7. Click on ‘Extract From Image’ (convert layer to Smart Object if greyed out)
8. Select ‘Patterns’ in the dialog box
9. Go to the right sidebar and adjust pattern to taste
10. Click on ’Save To Libraries’ when done
11. The pattern can be used in any Adobe CC App with Libraries
12. Double click to add to document
