By 2022 May updates we know that Google sheet connector was enabled in power BI desktop. Which means that cloud Google sheet can be the data source for power BI reporting and analytics.
To connect google sheet from power BI we need to find google sheet URL.
By browser Edge after your sign in click the right top 9 dots icon, check the Google drive, in subfolder find the target google sheet, right click on it to get and copy it’s URL .
If by browser Chrome, on top left conner click the 9 dots icon, find the target google sheet by checking Goole drive or sheets. Let’s click sheet icon and find the target sheet, copy it’s URL.
Then Open Power BI desktop, by Get Data to launch the Google sheet connector, place the previous copied URL, connect it, transform it, close and apply the transformation, we have google sheet file as source for the power BI reporting and analytics.
