How We Made Our First 3D Video Game

Donkey Defender is our first 3D game made in Unity. It's far from perfect, but has infinite waves of AI enemies, all who want to steal your donkey at night. You start off stranded on a road, a busted wheel, and basic gear. You can upgrade your player’s attack and movement by equipping loot that is dropped by the mysterious thieves who raid your broken-down cart.
Your ultimate goal is to fix your cart’s wheel, but it’ll take piles of money. You’re in luck though, these enemies are loaded with cash that drops when they die! If you can somehow manage to repair your cart, the future is yours. You can test your endurance skills by fighting increasingly difficult waves of enemies for as long as you want, or escape on your fixed cart to win the game.
About this Video
This 3D action game was made with Unity and is the first 3D game I actually finished. I may (or may not) add more features in the future. For now, it has a decent action vibe that I think turned out pretty fun. In this video, I start from day 1 and go through how the game was built from beginning to end (in ~10 minutes) with no bug or tragic mistake left out. It was a cool learning process that I plan to do again soon. I hope you enjoy the ride as much as I did!
