#unity #progress #3D
This is a 6-month recap of my progress learning 3D game development in Unity.
A year and a half ago, I downloaded Unity and started making my first game. I had big dreams, but knew very little about game development.
My first few attempts were 2D pixel art games, but I never really made anything playable. I dedicated nearly 6 months to building out my dream game until eventually drowning in a deep sea of spaghetti code. In the end, I decided to scrap the whole project and start over. This time, I’d set out to make a game in 3D.
That’s about where I left off in my last progress video, uploaded 6 months ago. Since then, I released 6 fully playable, 3D games on itch. They were all much smaller than my first big game idea, but each one taught me something new and helped expand my knowledge of game dev.
