Hamburgers with Chilli and Basil Recipe by What Shall I Cook

Ingredients:
500g ground beef (preferably 80% lean, 20% fat)
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1 small red chili, finely chopped (adjust to taste)
1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
1 egg
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp soy sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
4 hamburger buns
Lettuce, tomato slices, and other toppings of your choice
Ketchup, mustard, mayo, and other condiments of your choice

Instructions:
Mix the ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, chopped chili, chopped basil, egg, breadcrumbs, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
Form the patties: Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape them into patties, about 1-inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty with your thumb to prevent it from puffing up while cooking.
Cook the patties: Preheat a grill or a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
Toast the buns: While the patties are cooking, lightly toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in the skillet.
Assemble the burgers: Place each patty on the bottom half of a toasted bun. Add your favorite toppings like lettuce, tomato slices, and condiments. Top with the other half of the bun.
