How to talk to a tech recruiter? Recruiters are not seen in a positive light by people that are searching for jobs. They are shifty, lie, don’t return calls or emails, don’t know what they are talking about when it comes to tech, push you towards jobs you don’t want or are not qualified for.
These are all true but on the flip side, recruiters are also a great resource when looking for a job because, when you find a good recruiter, or recruitment company, you’ll be in a job in no time.
And how do I know all of this? I was a recruitment consultant before I got into tech, and it was working as a recruiter that gave me the drive to change careers.

At the end of the day, recruiters are sales people with targets to hit, and you as a candidate can be the make or break for this month or quarter. If you know what you’re doing and you can talk the talk, you can find yourself being put out to some interesting companies and roles.
Recruiters can open a lot of doors for you but at the end of the day, you need to be able to move forward with confidence and be able to make the next move, but don’t discount recruiters when looking for a job
