Why Learning How To Disable GUI Boot Logo On Windows 10 Startup (2020) Is Important:

This One Is Fun

Now it’s time for a fun trick. While it might not be essential to disable the pretty graphical logo splash that pops up when you turn on your computer, it can be fun to do. Believe it or not, disabling the graphical user interface on boot can shave off a few seconds from your boot time. Like I’ve said before, I am pretty obsessive about shaving off boot times. The cool thing about these is they add up.

If you wanted to get tricky about it, you could even clock your computer’s boot time before doing any tweaks. Then once you’ve completed all of your tweaks, you can reclock it to see how well you’ve improved. The GUI is the graphical user interface with the Microsoft Windows logo that splashes while Windows boots up. When you disable the GUI, Windows loads one less thing when it powers up. Disabling the GUI is also a trendy trick for people who hate Windows. I am not one of those people.

Are You A Rebel?

It is interesting just how many Windows users don’t want to brag about using Windows. This little modification can be a small act of rebellion against Microsoft. No matter your motive disabling the GUI on boot is extremely easy. You go to your start menu and launch MSConfig. Once you’re inside, click on the boot tab. Inside of the boot tab, check the box that says no GUI boot.

That’s it! You are officially part of the rebellion. It’s not my rebellion remember; I’m a huge fan of Windows 10. I won’t hold it against you.
