U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and British Foreign Minister David Lammy arrived in Kyiv Wednesday for meetings with senior Ukrainian government officials. Blinken traveled from London, where he accused Iran of providing Russia with short-range ballistic missiles.
The United States Wednesday marks the 23rd anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack. A U.S. flag was unfurled on the side of the Pentagon, one of the targets of the attack. More than 2,600 people were killed at the World Trade Center in New York, 125 at the Pentagon, and 265 on four planes.
Hurricane Francine barreled toward Louisiana Wednesday and is expected to make landfall in coming hours. The National Hurricane Center said Francine gained strength Tuesday night to become a Category 1 hurricane.
Two Delta Air Lines planes collided and were damaged on a taxiway at Atlanta's airport Tuesday morning. No injuries were reported. The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the incident.
