Now the Bible is a fascinating book and here is why. It is really a compilation of 66 different books written by more than 40 different authors in 3 different languages Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic over a period of more than 1500 years these 40-plus authors lived on 3 different continents most of them never met each other
but every single one of them wrote about this single central theme which is God's REDEMPTION OF MAN. Every single one of them identified man's major and only problem that is SIN. And that God has a plan to save man from his sin and from death. It is called God's Gospel (God's plan). The word Gospel is really the word "GOOD NEWS". So God has GOOD NEWS for you today! Now this good news (this Gospel) is summarized in one verse In the New Testament in Romans 10:9, it says "that if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord". In other words, if you declare with your mouth that Jesus is your boss or your leader that is the meaning for the word Lord! "and you believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead you will be saved" Now what is so great about believing with your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead? Why is that so powerful? Think about this. That if you can get your heart to believe that unbelievable miracle that took a place 2,000 years ago where God raised Jesus, a man you never met if you can get your heart to believe that then you also believe everything else about Jesus to be true because having faith in that one miracle assumes faith in everything about Jesus that God sent him (Jesus) to save humanity that He (Jesus) died upon a cross and then that God raised him (Jesus) because to God, Jesus's sacrifice was sufficient. His (Jesus) payment was enough for your sins. that is really what you believe, if you believe that God raised him from the dead. but here is the big problem. there isn't one man on the face of the earth or in history of humanity that in his fallen state can conjure up enough faith to believe in a miracle so unbelievable! nobody in this sinful state could believe that
unless God gave them each a measure of faith to believe it. The Bible says that God gives every man a measure of faith to believe a miracle as wonderful as this
because without God giving you the faith to believe you couldn't believe it. That is why many people do not believe in the resurrection of Jesus Christ. You might say, "well how do you know this is true?" First and foremost, I gave you the scripture (Bible) that it says God gives us a measure of faith to believe because without it we could not believe. Secondly the Bible says, that He (Jesus) is the author and the finisher of our faith. We did not author it. We did not come up with it. We did not design it. No! He (Jesus) authors our faith and then gives it to us. The Bible also says, "that that thing which He (Jesus) started in you, He will also complete". I did not start this whole thing where I started conjuring up faith believing in the fact that God raised Jesus. I couldn't have. No! God started the work. I did not! You might say well Jacques, "I struggled to believe in that miracle". If you do struggle to believe but you want to believe it is because God is drawing you (closer) and all you need to do is pray the same prayer that the disciples prayed when they said help my unbelief God Help my unbelief because my heart is filled with unbelief pray that same prayer and ask God to give you that measure of faith ask God to author within your heart faith to believe in a miracle so unbelievable ask God to start that good work in your life that He himself will then complete Now if you praying that prayer or if you would like for us to pray with you for anything in your life. please go to the comment section just say requesting prayer or write out the prayer request that you want us to pray for myself and our team will pray for you this week.
