How to Add Different Types of Line Or Add Linetypes
Tired of using the same continuously solid? Lets’ load some new options to choose from. We are going to load linetype files (LIN) that are already preset into AutoCAD. Make sure to check back to see how to create a custom linetype to use in your drawings.
Step 1 - Access the Linetype drop-down list. This is located in the property panel of the home tab.
Step 2 - Within this drop-down panel select the Other option.
Step 3 - Once the Linetype Manager dialog box has been loaded select the Load option.
Step 4 - The Linetype File dialog box will load. Chose the desired linetype, click ok.
Step 5 - The linetype will load into to the Linetype Manager dialog box.
Step 6 - To start drawing using a desired linetype choose and highlight linetype, click current. Click ok.
You can now also change the linetype of a selected line.
