Quite the deal, a lost leader for sure but it is quite the deal. Applebees loses money on that, but the odds of you only buying the margaritas is quite low so they make money on everything else. It’s the sort of deal that can pull people out of their sobriety, especially with inflation it’s one hell of a deal. I’d best not tempt myself further.
The humor here is in the Green Goblin persona trying to lure the guy being comparable to someone who successfully got clean being taken off the straight and narrow by something so trivial as Applebees 1 dollar margaritas.
