One way to get the case reopened and yourself rather well and guilty. Would take 3 years of lawyers making busywork for one another to get it done but a move like that unless it’s able to be successfully brushed off as a joke or misspeaking is game over. Surprisingly it’s not really all that rare to have happen either, criminals often tend to be quite the stupid.
The humor here is inherent in the whole screwing yourself over and the lawyer having a reaction.
