This masterpiece was developed by one person, Andrew Shouldice. It's a charmingly wonderful action-adventure game with strong zeldaish vibes and a pinch of souls.
Graphically, the game is relatively simple with a low-poly style being employed in an isometric fashion. However, the use of light and shadow is excellent, and the sound design is brilliant leading to a beautiful atmosphere. It shows that you don't need AAA developer budget to make great games, just talent and imagination. For some reason it reminds me of Supraland, its that same kind of old-school game design built by passionate people.
The game uses unity to great effect, allowing amazing performance and no distracting world streaming stutter (outside of loading new areas) like you often get with UE4 on PC. Makes a nice change.
I highly recommend playing this one. It's available on PC, Xbox and gamepass cloud streaming.
Key findings:
-It rarely drops below 120fps at 4k!
-The optimisation is excellent, it's rare that a game performs this well at launch nowadays. I still can't believe only one person made this game.
