Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com, and today we're gonna take a brief look at this Flint Hill Goods trailer coupler lock. This quarter inch pin lock is going to insert through the latch on your surge brake actuator or your standard ball coupler to keep your trailer coupler secured on your hitch ball to deter theft. So your trailer won't be able to be removed from your tow vehicle when locked onto your ball, and would-be thieves won't be able to secure your unhitched trailer to their tow vehicle. So, as you can see, this does feature a weather resistant PVC dust cap to help keep out any dirt or debris, and keep your lock cylinder clean and it'll keep from getting dirty and your key will be able to slide in there easily. So, to unlock this, you just simply take one of the two included keys and insert that key into the lock, and you want to give it just a little bit of a push and turn it clockwise, and then that's going to unlock it and you're gonna be able to release this. And I wanted to point out that once the key is in that unlocked position, you're not gonna be able to remove the key.
It's going to stay locked in there until you turn it back to the locked position. Also, while this is locked, you cannot push this in to lock, so you do have to make sure that the lock itself is unlocked. So, I'm gonna push that in, turn the key, and it's in the unlocked position, so, you just run your pin through the hitch pinhole on your trailer, your hitch receiver, and then run it through that lock and give this a turn, and then that will lock it into place. So again, two keys are included, and this is very durable heavy duty lock. It's constructed out of carbon steel, and it has this black e-coat that's going to protect it from corrosion, and it has kind of a textured portion here on the lock itself, so, that's gonna give you some grip especially in damp weather or if it's raining outside, this texture's going to help with the grip.
(lock tapping against table) So, overall it feels very heavy duty, I think it's going to be very long lasting. So again, the pin diameter is a quarter of an inch, and I just want to give you the measurement there of the inside pin length of the span. As you can see, we're sitting right at two and a half inches on that inside pin length. (lock tapping against table) Well, that's gonna conclude our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you.
Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
