Saturn 2 Tutorial | Glitch Drum Processing with Smudge | Fabfilter
In this video tutorial, I will show you how I add character to my drums and percussion using the Smudge effect in Saturn 2 VST Plugin from Fabfilter!
I've been a fan of Fabfilter VST Plugins for literally years now. They make some of the most powerful music production tools in existence. Every time one of their plugins gets a massive overhaul and update, I get it almost immediately, without questions.
The most recent plugin to get updated to a whole new version is the saturation and distortion plugin called Saturn. I have done a full video on everything you need to know about the newest update; including every new and updated feature. If you would like to watch that video click here.
While Saturn 2 is primarily focused on adding color to sound by means of amp emulation, saturation and out-right distortion, a few of the algorithms can be used for a number of other very useful processes.
For example. the Smudge effect is awesome for lots of different sound design projects. I use it all the time to add stereo field glitchy type effects to my percussion to give them that extra bit of interesting sonics!
