François Peverali - ISiK specification and Patient-merge | DevDays 2023 Amsterdam
This year, the ISiK specification will become legally enforceable for healthcare information system (HIS) manufacturers in Germany, beginning with the initial publication stage. Moreover, there is an urgent requirement for a uniform solution to consolidate patient records across software manufacturers. This merging process appears particularly critical in the interaction between HIS and subsystems, which may offer external services. So far, the adopted FHIR R4 specification does not provide a solution through an operation that would perform such an update, nor any other specifications that would provide a solution for this requirement. To tackle this challenge, we intend to share our approaches, thoughts and questions with global experts and seek their comments and suggestions.
