Gregorio Canal - XDS on FHIR | DevDays 2023 Amsterdam
This tutorial focusses on the IHE use of FHIR resources to enable API access to Document Sharing infrastructures based on XDS and XCA IHE profiles. These document sharing platforms are diffused in many regions around the world and are used by many local, regional, national and cross-border projects.The IHE MHD Profile defines how FHIR enabled apps can discover these documents, retrieve them, and publish new documents. Advanced IHE Profiles that are discussed show how these documents could be decomposed into FHIR Resources, with Provenance linkage back to the source document from which the FHIR Resource information comes.
Gregorio has worked with standards from the very beginning of his career, he is an active memeber of IHE ITI technical committee where he met and fell in love with FHIR and in 2021, he took and passed the FHIR R4 Proficency exam. Gregorio wrote a couple of FHIR based IHE profiles (NPFS, RESTful ATNA).
