Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. And today, we're gonna take a look at this CURT adjustable weight distribution shank. This shank is going to slide into your two-inch hitch receiver. And it's gonna give you the attachment point for your weight distribution system's head assembly. And it's designed for use with your CURT weight distribution systems.
Now, this has a weight capacity of 15,000 pounds with a tongue weight of 1,500 pounds. And as you can see here, this shank features seven adjustment holes for attaching your head assembly, letting you level your trailer with your tow vehicle. So, let me give you some measurements here to help you determine if this is going to work for you. The overall height, we are sitting right at 9 1/2 inches. And taking a look at these adjustment holes, when I measure center to center, you can see that these adjustment holes measure an inch and a quarter, center to center, and that's gonna be with each of those holes.
And then with a trunnion bar system, the maximum drop is going to be about two inches. And then the maximum rise is gonna be about 6 1/2 inches. And again, that's with a trunnion bar system. And with a round bar system, the maximum drop is gonna be right at three inches. And then the maximum rise is going to be at 7 1/2 inches.
And again, as you no doubt know, you will get that rise when you flip this over. This is, of course, currently in the drop position. Now, let me give you some other measurements to help you determine if this is going to work well for you. So, first of all, I'm going to be measuring from the center of our hitch pin hole here to the end of our shank. And so, lining my ruler up here, we are sitting right at nine inches from the hitch pin hole to the end of the shank.
And keeping my ruler there, again, from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of our adjustment holes here, we are sitting right at eight inches. And then from the center of the hitch pin hole to where this gusset meets up with our shank where that weld meets up there, we're sitting right at three inches, it looks like, if I have my ruler lined up there. Yeah, right at three inches. And then measuring from the center of the hitch pin hole to the end of our shank, let we turn this around here, we are sitting right at three inches. So, this is constructed of solid steel. So, it's got a really good weight to it. And it has a really nice, black powder coat finish. And so, that is going to resist rust and corrosion. And I think that finish is going to, I don't think it's gonna easily peel or chip off. So, I think that's gonna give you quite a few years of use. Well, that's gonna conclude our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me..
