AJ: What's up everybody it's AJ with etrailer.com. Today we're going to be checking out the Malone ClipperTRX Deluxe kayak cart. And what's this going to do is help you load up your kayak and get it to your destination quicker than carrying it and easier than carrying it and loading it with you. You can just throw it on here, pull behind you like you saw me, and it can handle this gravel terrain no problem. Let's check it out.I mentioned how well it works on the gravel terrain and that's because it's the Never-Flat wheel. So it's made out of plastic, but you still have the grip from the rubber outline of the wheel here.
It helps you get traction and grip on this uneven terrain. Now I'm going to cart it back inside. We'll take off the kayak and take a closer look.Back inside and I'm going to go ahead and remove the kayak from the cart so we can take a closer look. I'm just going to undo the straps. Really easy.
We got the metal buckles and you also have the padding back here so you don't have to worry about the buckle ever coming in contact with your kayak. This'll keep any damage from happening. Even if it bounces against or something like that, you have this protection. So I like that. The other thing that it's really handy is that the straps are attached to the cart. And I'll show you what I mean here when I remove this.
Set it to the side, you can see the points that the straps are actually attached to the cart. That's not always the case with these carts. So it's kind of handy to have them attached that way. It's always going to be with you and your cart. You don't have to carry them separately.
That way there's no chance of losing these. They're always going to be right here. And you have the hook and loop fastener here, so you can roll it up nice and neat. And I'll show you how to do that. You can take your excess when you're done with it, loop it up however you want. You'll probably do a nicer, neater job than I'm doing, but. You use the hook and loop right here to bring it acrost, pulls it all together nice and neat. That way the straps aren't just laying out on the ground. The straps being attached to the cart are pretty important and it makes it way easier to load up your kayak, knowing that your straps are right here and already in place. You don't have to fumble around with it. If it was the other way, like the Swagman Hauler, it comes with the straps you need, but you have to set the kayak on there first, then work the strap around the kayak and the bottom of the cart going around these bars too to make sure it's nice and tight. That can be kind of a hassle. It'll be up and down, underneath your kayak carrier when you could just throw it on here, have these dedicated points on the side, throw your straps, and be good to go.Some things you might not notice right away though, are the rubber grips. These are nice. They keep a nice grip on your kayak when you set it on top. That way it gives you time to strap it down without. If you didn't have them, you'd just have the aluminum frame. They would probably slide a little bit on you. Because the front end of your kayaks would be on the ground, so that will keep it from moving for the most part. But if there wasn't these grips, it could just slide right off there. It's going to help you keep it there. And the other thing that helps is the kickstand here at the bottom, folds up pretty easily all together like that. But then you're ready to use it, just fold it out. And the kickstand also keeps the cart upright when you're going to load that kayak. The frame of the cart is made out of aluminum. So you don't have to worry about it being exposed to water or the elements because you're going to be around water if you're taking your kayak there. It's not going to damage this at all. And it's got a weight capacity of 200 pounds. So those are for your a little bit heavier kayaks or fishing kayaks or canoes.Another great feature it has is it can fold up very easily and store. You can even remove the wheels with the push of a button. The button stays in and you just pull the plastic wheel off. Slide off. I can you show you what I'm talking about on this side a little better. You got the metal button you push in there, you push with your other hand, slides right off.You can store it in your storage area. I think that's where we'll put our wheels actually. We'll stow them in our kayak. And I'll probably throw the frame up front. And either store i
