Whenever one imports FHIR data from some other FHIR enabled application one is faced with issues around data cleansing (e.g. enriching and validation, the T in ETL). Such data quality management techniques apply irrespective of the scope of the imported data - whether it's just 2 applications, or whether one uses the Bulk data API to extract lots of data from many different systems. This presentation sketches some of the data quality techniques and some data cleansing best practices. The audience is assumed to be familiar with (the implementation of) FHIR. .
