Test to see if MFAA helps with anti-aliasing in FH5. This footage was recorded at 4k 60fps with 4x MSAA in the game's graphics settings.
Whilst researching MFAA I found contradictory information about whether MFAA works in DX12 and whether the game needs to specifically support it. So I decided to test it in FH5 by forcing MFAA globally in Nvidia control panel.
Key findings:
-Any difference is hard to spot between MFAA on and off even whilst scaled 2x with slowed down footage.
-Performance is essentially identical, (the differences in this specific clip are likely due to my recording software not liking this game). This leads me to believe that MFAA isn't working in the game.
-However, the AA does look ever so slightly cleaner with MFAA on in my opinion. The difference is minor though, which leads me to believe any difference is caused by something else (maybe even my cognitive bias?).
