Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Gen Y adjustable two ball mount with the pinto lock for a two inch hitch, has a 10,000 pound gross towing weight capacity. Now this is an adjustable ball mount that'll let you hook up your trailer to your tow vehicle. The solid shank portion right here is where it'll slide a two inch hitch receiver on your vehicle. And an front here, you have a choice of a 2 5/16 diameter ball or a two inch diameter ball which will provide the connection points for your trailer coupler.

Also included with this part is this pinto lock accessory here. And when this is paired with the larger 2 5/16 diameter ball it'll provide a connection point for lunette ring coupler. And I wanted to describe on the lunette ring couplers a lot of your heavier duty trailers use a lunette net ring coupler. And what that is it's a large ring and it's designed to fit over the ball. So what you can do, they just pop this pin and clip out, slide the pinto lock accessory back out of the way, and this will allow you to take that lunette ring coupler, drop it over the ball, and you want to keep it on there so it doesn't come off the ball.

And that's what this pinto lock will do. Once you get your lunette ring over there, slide that over that luntte ring, and then slide your pin through there and then clip it. And then just like that, that part you can see will lock that lunette ring your ball, keep it from coming off. So that's a nice feature to have if you do any towing with a lunette ring coupler. And then if you're not gonna use it with the lunette ring what you can do, you can actually there's a second hole in this if you slide this back out of the way, then you can pin it, if you're not gonna use it.

And then that way you won't lose it. And then you can just use it with a regular coupler on the ball. Now, if you notice this has four stacked two inch receivers that'll accept the included ball mount and the pinto lock accessory as well as other hitch mounted accessories. You notice it has these two 5/8 inch diameter stainless steel pins with clips. And these included it to secure that ball mount and the pinto lock to the shank.

And what's nice, I wanted to mention these clips, I really like these clips because they're different than the normal clips. These are so much easier to remove and to install. They're a twist design, you can see the bent portion there. So to remove it, all you have to do is twist this, and it comes right off. And then to install it all you have to do is push it, and when you push it on it up twist and lock it into place. Very nice, easy to use rings on this. Now the adjustable height fundus will let you tow trailers of different heights with the same vehicle. Works well if you have a lifted truck. This ball mount can basically be moved into either one of these receivers and get you, lower, raise it to match your application. Now, if you do put it in the lowest position, which is down here, it will get you the maximum drop of 7 1/2 inches. If you flip the shank over into your hitch receiver and put that ball mount in that position where it'll be up here, that'll get you a maximum rise of 7 1/2 inches. Just to show you how you can move the ball, again, remove the clip, remove the pin, and then you can just slide the ball out. And then if you wanna flip it over to use the two inch size ball just flip it over like that, slide it back in, lock it into place. And again, you could put it at whatever height you're gonna need it at. And once you get it in there, put your pin back through, take your clip, go ahead and clip it into place. And now you're ready to go with the smaller two inch diameter ball. This is a heavy duty steel construction. Has a nice zinc primer and a powder coat finish to resist corrosion. Now, when you do install this into your hitch receiver, it will require a hitch pining clip or a hitch lock to secure it to the hitch receiver. Those are not included. We do sell those separately on our website. The diameter of the hitch pin hole is 5/8 of an inch. This is SAEJ684 certified. It is made in the USA. Again, the application is two inch by two inch trailer hitch receivers. Gross towing weight capacity on this is 10,000 pounds. Tongue weight capacity is 1500 pounds.
