If you’ve ever seen one of those wonderful toy pin sculptures that kids love to press their hands into, you’ll enjoy today’s 20-second animation. I used Cinema 4D to build, texture, light, and animate the sculpture. Adobe After Effects and Element 3D provided the tools to produce moving depth maps that pushed the pins into various shapes. To give the animation a theme, I pretended that it was an advertisement for the grand opening of a creative educational space for kids called the Idea Museum.
