Take a virtual trip to the most remote temple in Northern Cambodia, also known as Prasat Bakan, a giant complex that was the second city of the Khmer empire. This immense ruin was one of the largest temples during the Angkor period, built between the 9th and 12th centuries.

Prasat Bakan was once connected by an ancient highway to the great capital of Angkor Thom which lies 95km to the west. Today, the drive is 165km east of Siem Reap and the temples of Angkor.

This video was made by Hanuman Films for the USAID Greening Prey Lang (GPL) Project in 2020. The small crew included Morgan Havet as DoP (Camera), Nick Sells on drone, Sinath Pheat as Fixer and myself as Director.
