Sega Game Gear Repair - Can they really be fixed with all new Capactiors?
I have so many Sega Game Gear hand held consoles that have one thing in common... none of them work! I'm going to see if it can be as simple as replacing the internal capacitors to get it up and running again. This first one, I'm going to be using standard off the shelf electrolytic capacitors to replace the legendary bad capacitors that all Sega Game Gears seem to have.
Not doing anything flash with this one, simply getting it up and running again keeping everything standard.

No affiliation but found this website very useful. When replacing the capacitors, different versions have different capacitor values. This website helps you identify which one you have so if you do order a replacement capacitor kit, you don't end up getting the wrong one.
