So to place text behind a moving object you have to create a mask and follow it's shape and position. However, most tutorials are suggesting to create one solid mask and animate it. The problem with that approach is that when the object is actually changing it's shape (as in waving arms or dancing around) you will have a problem following that shape with a single mask.

It's better to create dedicated masks for each area of the person (as in limbs - arms, legs, head etc.) so it's easier to follow any bigger movements.

In this tutorial I am showing you the basic steps how rotoscoping artists actually would approach this and follow this model walking around our text so we end up with a nice fashion promo.
