Motion Graphics 23 - Self-Absorption
Happy New Year, friends! I saw a delightfully sweet visual effect in a Clubfeet and a One Direction music video that I’m titling “self-absorption.” The effect features a moving version of a person absorbing into a stationary version of him or herself. The moment I saw the effect, I couldn’t wait to re-create it in After Effects! Here’s a 36-second version of what I came up with. I embellished the effect by adding a vintage film look (complete with dust, scratches, and flicker) immediately following each “absorption” moment. Creating is what makes life worth living!
