Calea Dorobantilor (also known as Calea Dorobantsi, and in the past as Ulița Herăstrăului) is located in sector 1 and is one of the most important thoroughfares in the city of Bucharest. It stretches from Piața Alexandru Lahovari (next to Piața Romană) to Piața Charles de Gaulle and is 2,600 meters long.

Calea Dorobantilor is one of the oldest streets in Bucharest. It is part of the boulevard network of the first half of the 20th century. The area around the street was designed and built from the very beginning to form an exclusive neighborhood. The name of the street was given in 1878 in memory of the Dorobanti troops who fought in Plevna, Vidin and Grivița during the Romanian War of Independence.
