This is my instructional keyboard cover of Foreigner's "Long Long Way From Home", which I am publishing under the "fair use" doctrine. This video contains only keyboard and drums and is meant to show how the keyboard part might be played in a live situation.

This song has a lot of keyboard parts, as well as a whole sax section (and, a sax solo!). As with my other projects, I have tried to include most of the most important parts, since I don't have 6 hands...LOL

I am playing a clavichord patch in the upper Roland JV-90 keyboard (technically, the sound is actually being produced by the lower Fantom X7 keyboard...the JV-90 is just "controlling" it).

The left-most zone of the lower Fantom X7 keyboard, I have a pulsing synth sound going on. On the record, the sound is "filter-swept". I decided to use aftertouch to filter-sweep the sound, in part because I didn't want to have to use two hands (one to keep the note depressed and one to turn a knob).

The next zone to the right contains a baritone sax patch. Fortunately, the Fantom X7 has some really high-quality/convincing sounds and the baritone sax is definitely one of them.

To the right of the baritone sax patch zone, I have a zone for a sax section patch.

Finally, to the right of the sax section patch, is a solo sax patch (I don't remember if it's a tenor or also patch).

Put it all together and I've got some pretty busy hands...LOL It sounds pretty convincing, though, and we're able to pass it off with only four players. :-)
