BMW has officially unveiled the M Performance Parts for the latest BMW M5 Touring, adding even more excitement to this high-performance wagon. Following in the footsteps of the sedan version, which received these upgrades earlier, the Touring model now sports a more aggressive appearance. The front splitter and rear diffuser, both with a split design, give the car a bold new look, while the side sill extensions make the body appear even wider.
Interestingly, the carbon fiber side mirror caps are offered as standard without needing the additional M Performance package. However, the M5 Touring will not be available with a carbon roof, a feature reserved for the sedan model. This decision mirrors the approach BMW took with the M3 Touring, which also lacks a carbon roof.
Other carbon elements include a fuel tank cap designed to bring a racing feel to everyday refueling. The M5 Touring can also be ordered with side decals and a roof antenna made from aramid, a material commonly used in aerospace.
While the interior has not been fully showcased, expect premium details like floor mats with decorative stitching and an M Performance-branded key cover. If the M5 Touring proves popular, BMW may consider bringing the next-generation M3 Touring to the United States.
