How to Get Virtual Desktop on the Pico 4
I just got my Pico 4 and it's exciting. This is the most visually impressive headset that I've ever had. Unfortunately, it's got some issues. You can't sideload apps (except mobile apps). You'll need Virtual Desktop to make this headset really work and access SteamVR. However, the VR Assistant for Pico, which you need for setup can't be downloaded from the US Google Play store yet.
I'll demonstrate how you can download and install VR Assistant for Pico directly onto the Pico 4 headset.
Sideloading mobile apps does work. I've managed to successfully install Chrome and Sidequest Mobile, both open and run. (Unfortunately, anything I try to install with Sidequest Mobile will not work.)
