For a long time I was looking for that same taste of childhood - I’m talking about the milk loaf that we bought at the bread store, soft, slightly sweet, with a delicate thin crust, finely porous and soft as a cloud.
I found it for myself and am sharing it with you!
This loaf is good for everything - thanks to its balanced taste of salt and sugar, it goes very well with both soup and tea. Also a great option for a morning sandwich and for croutons. And children simply adore this loaf!
Ingredients for 2 loaves:
350 ml milk
2 heaped tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
50 g butter
5 g yeast
500 g flour
To grease the loaf:
1 tbsp sour cream + 1 tsp milk or cream
Bake at 180C (356F) for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
