What is a rotator cuff tear?
A rotator cuff tear occurs when one or more of these tendons tears or becomes injured. Depending on the extent of the tear, sometimes it requires surgery to repair the tendons and reattach them to bone. Some patients with partial tears can get over their pain and return to their desired activities without surgery.
