Mark Gardner (AMG Consultants) describes the updated PKTool v2.0 with details of how to access and install the package. Development has been supported by BMGF and the tool is free to use. New features have been introduced based on user feedback and the package, re-written in python, no longer requires Matlab to run. These include improved layout/visuals; input/output; and concentration/time export as well as the ability to include hepatocyte data in your model. Human dose predictions can be made based on allometry from other species. Mark highlighted essential data required as input and demonstrated a number of examples:
1. Dose predictions using allometry (33:20)
2. Predictions from in vitro data (39:00)
3. Selecting compounds for efficacy studies (44:00)
Proposed science enhancements for the next version were also discussed and the session finished with Q&A's.
