About IRAD
Integrated Road Accident Data Base (IRAD) is a central accident database management system that will help in analyzing causes of crashes and in devising safety interventions to reduce such accidents.
It is developed by IIT- Madras and will be implemented by the National Informatics Center.
The project is an initiative of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), Government of India.
The project costs ₹258 crore and is being supported by the World Bank.
This will facilitate road accident data collection by 4 stakeholder departments
Police,
Transport,
Highways &
Health Departments.
The purpose of this project is onsite collection of accident data.
iRAD mobile application available in both android and web application.
