Don't fall for the "Amazon's Insane Laptop Giveaway" sale scam claiming you can win a brand-new Dell 16 laptop for only $4. That makes no sense. If you won it, why would you need to pay $4 or $7? It's because the scammers need an excuse to get your credit card information so they can steal your money. The Facebook ads about this "Amazon's Insane Laptop Giveaway" scam mention Dell Inspiron 16 and also "Dell Inspiration 16 Plus." That means Meta, Facebook's parent company, accepted money from scammers to basically partner with them in helping the scam succeed. Meta gets away with it. If you, a consumer, attempted to commit fraud, you'd be arrested. Not Meta, though. They're allowed to consistently report billions of dollars in quarterly revenue. They're too big to take down, apparently. There are different rules if you have money, I guess. Also, why do the Facebook ads show an Amazon Go store? The websites involved in this scam include sprinfracon.com and flumbtrix.com.

This is what's known as a hidden subscription scam. In a hidden subscription scam, scammers attempt to obtain your credit card information by requesting a small fee. Of course, the small fee is their tricky way of trying to get you to give up your credit card information so they can charge you way more money than they claimed. Usually, these scams mention subscription charges in the terms and conditions or privacy policy. However, in this specific case with the "Amazon's Insane Laptop Giveaway," I did not find any information about what the charges might be because there were no terms and conditions. This is the very first time I've ever seen this happen. In other words, these scammers, more like criminals, are as terrible as they get.

If you fell for the scam and need help, I recommend contacting your credit card company immediately so they can help you resolve this matter. Make sure that you ask them to block future charges from the same seller. Let's hope that law enforcement arrests and charges the people involved in this scam very soon. It's always a bright spot to see news about scammers being brought to justice. Scammers believe that they likely will never be found. But if you search for news stories about scammers being arrested, they are arrested all the time no matter how confident they may be that they are hiding in a manner in which they cannot be found. I would say good luck but luck won't help them.

Don't fall for this "Amazon's Insane Laptop Giveaway" scam. Thank you for watching, and please like, comment, share, and subscribe!
