How To Replace Layers in Adobe After Effects CC 2018 - sometimes after all the work is done you just want to replace the footage or the layer but keep all the keyframes and effects.

For that just click on the layer you want to replace then hold the alt/option key and drag the new layer/image on top of the one you just clicked.

To replace assets in the project globally just right click and "replace footage" and hit "File" to select a new file.
