Motion Graphics 18 - Metropolis
The movie posters for the film Inception are full of fascinating, unexpected city perspectives, including one where the film’s title looks like urban buildings dropped into the heart of the city. When I laid eyes on this clever poster, I immediately decided to create an animated version of my own with a title rising skyward as a camera arcs overhead. To populate the scene with hundreds of grimy downtown buildings, I used Video Copilot’s remarkably detailed Metropolitan 3D model pack (https://www.videocopilot.net/products...) and their 3D After Effects plug-in called Element (https://www.videocopilot.net/products.... I get such a charge out of making animations!
